A total of 110 CMF-funded projects won 213 prizes in 22 prestigious Canadian award ceremonies during 2016-2017. Outside Canada, 36 CMF-funded projects received nominations of which 15 won prizes in 11 international competitions.
English-language Drama projects that garnered the most recognition, in Canada and on a global scale were Murdoch Mysteries, Orphan Black, Schitt’s Creek, Kim’s Convenience and Vikings. In the French-language market, the series Au Secours de Béatrice, Les Beaux Malaises, Les Pays d’en Haut, Marche à l’ombre and Unité 9 captured the most awards
